Pam's Posthaste...A quick take! The scene: A rainy Thursday evening. Norton Museum West Palm Beach The event: Art after Dark-held every Thursday from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. Our Host: Club Braman Whether at the zoo or a museum, this team always know how to make their guests feel welcome. Thank you, Devin and team! Featured art by: van Gogh, Degas. Featured live music by: My Uncle's Friends (that is the name of the accordion and mandolin playing duo). Their music added a special touch to the lobby, then later while we were dining. This should be a regular feature. Dinner: The Cafe (tucked inside the museum). We opted for Quiche Lorraine, with a side-salad. Dessert was a too-rich chocolate and whipped cream confection. Service was slow, but they were busy and it gave us an opportunity to chat and sip our libations. The thrill: Vincent! The Poplars at Saint-Remy, 1889. Simply standing a few feet away from the stunning artistic work of a troubled genius, van Gogh. Summary: Experience Art After Dark, because an art museum should be enjoyed by everyone! The van Gogh piece will be at the Norton Museum until April 17. Enjoy the music of My Uncle's Friends ... Comments are closed.
