Thursday, July 17, 2025 -Nonprofits First proudly announces their 9th Annual Hats Off Nonprofit Awards on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 8 PM in the Cohen Pavilion at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. The Hats Off Nonprofit Awards (HONA) Host Committee is led by a collaborative team of professionals, volunteers, and community leaders who are deeply committed to supporting Nonprofits First and addressing the most critical causes in Palm Beach County. The committee chair is Dr. Peter Cruise of Florida Atlantic University, and he leads the host committee. The Hats Off Nonprofit Awards recognize and honor nonprofit organizations of the Palm Beach County nonprofit sector, along with the dedicated professionals and volunteers who contribute to these charities and make our community strong. “This year has tested the strength and spirit of our nonprofit community like never before. Despite the challenges, these organizations have continued to rise, adapt, and serve with unwavering dedication. The 9th Annual Hats Off Nonprofit Awards is our opportunity to honor their resilience and recognize the extraordinary,” said Trudy Crowetz, President & CEO, Nonprofits First. New this year, there will be a total of five Impact Award categories and 16 awards. The categories that are now open for nominations are: Nonprofit of the Year Impact Award – Arts & Culture, Nonprofit of the Year Impact Award – Education, Nonprofit of the Year Impact Award – Environment & Animal Welfare, Nonprofit of the Year Impact Award – Family Services, Nonprofit of the Year Impact Award – Health & Wellness, Nonprofit Innovation Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, Nonprofit Executive of the Year Award, Nonprofit Professional of the Year Award, Nonprofit MVP of the Year Award, Community Hero Award, Community Collaborator Awards, and Nonprofit Volunteer of the Year Award. Nominations for the 9th Annual Hats Off Nonprofit Awards are now open until Tuesday, July 31, 2025. The Hats Off Nonprofit Awards will be in the Cohen Pavilion at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. Table packages on sale beginning August 11th. Table of 10 Package Nonprofits First Members: $2,000, Table of 10 Package Non-Member Table of 10: $2,250, Individual tickets will go on sale September 2nd. Nonprofits First Member Ticket: $200, Non-Member Ticket: $225. Tickets for the Hats Off Nonprofit Awards will be available for purchase at www.hatsoffawards.org.
