L-R: Debbye Raing, Jacquelyn Taylor, Andrea PeppersCredit: Jasser Leiva (Press Release) The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties hosted an African American Museum & Research Library (AAMRL) Town Hall meeting on February 26, 2026 at Roosevelt Middle School in West Palm Beach. The town hall was attended by nearly 100 people and focused on the AAMRL, a transformative project serving as a cornerstone of the revitalization of West Palm Beach’s historic Coleman Park neighborhood. According to the AAMRL board of directors, this will be 25th African American museum in Florida. This was the third Town Hall for the AAMRL project, following community gatherings held in 2024 and 2025. The Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization that leads partnerships with donors, nonprofit organizations, and community members to address the region’s chronic and emerging issues.
