Sean Scully, Chip DiPaula (Capehart) (Press Release) (PALM BEACH) — Acclaimed contemporary artist Sean Scully headlined an intimate evening at Chip DiPaula’s Palm Beach residence on March 25, where more than 50 guests gathered in support of The Susan and Dom Telesco Center for Creative Education (CCE). Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception with the artist before the evening’s program, which included a thoughtful discussion with Vero Beach Museum of Art Chief Curator, Caitlin Swindell, exploring Scully’s work, creative process and the broader role of art in shaping perspective and human connection. The evening brought CCE’s mission to life, underscoring the importance of investing in high-quality, student-centered learning opportunities for children and families across Palm Beach County. “At the Center for Creatie Education, the arts are not secondary to learning; they are central to it,” said Jonathon Ortiz-Smykla, Chief Advancement Officer at CCE. “Arts integration helps students engage more deeply, build confidence and begin to see themselves as capable learners. Students in our after-school art club created original canvases inspired by Sean Scully as a gesture of appreciation. Moments like these reflect the confidence, expression and sense of possibility we strive to cultivate in every student.” CCE advances academic success through programs that support students, families and communities. The Foundations School, one of four core pillars, is a K–5 independent school achieving transformative results for underserved students. Tuition is accessible thanks to critical philanthropic support and state scholarships. CCE’s applied research and exceptional outcomes with the students we serve are generating insights and results that can help shape the future of education. In addition to Scully and Swindell, guests at the reception included Mickey Beyer, Sybille Canthal, Kyle DeWoody, Lorre Erlick, Nancy Erlick, Elizabeth Esteve, Elizabeth Fekkai, Sarah Gavlik, Suzanne and Paco Gil, Pam and Bob Goergen, Sharon Jacquet and Bob Gunia, Pam and Brad Miller, Alexandra Vargas-Rajegowda and Gopal Rajegowda, Laura Rehnert, Jean Sharf, Margaret Sinclair and Tina Teel.
