Anchored by a colossal golden Buddha, elevated works of modern art, and a cherry blossom tree radiating a pink glow, the epicurean destination reinvents Pan-Asian classics unlike anywhere else in the Sunshine State. Upon arriving at the table, ladies will be treated to single-stem roses and every guest will enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne. Executive chef and partner Tim Nickey and executive pastry chef and chocolatier Denise Elrod had ài, or “love” in Chinese, in mind when they prepared the four-course prix fixe menu ($95 per person; excludes tax and gratuity) with refined and occasionally playful offerings. For bar patrons, an à la carte menu spotlights small and large plates with a pair of sweet endings. Specials not to be missed include a lobster pancake, honey-soy-glazed Wagyu beef short rib, and pan-seared branzino. For dessert, Elrod—a champion of the Food Network’s “Guy’s Grocery Games”—shows her creativity with a twist on chocolate-covered strawberries and a heart-shaped passionfruit cheesecake crowned with a flambéed miso caramel heart.
