Cantina Laredo Celebrates Margarita Day

Agave lovers will have their hands full with the specially priced $5 Casa Rita ($8.25 reg.), a delicious, hangover-free combination of top-shelf tequila, Cointreau liqueur, freshly squeezed lime juice, simple syrup, and garnished with a lime wedge. 

Feeling extra adventurous? Try the Tajín Watermelon Rita ($12.25), a spicy firecracker, loaded with premium cucumber chili tequila, blood orange liqueur, muddled watermelon, lime juice, lemon juice, agave nectar, tajín, and garnished with two watermelon cubes. So good, you may want to kiss the bartender.

1 serving

2 oz. premium tequila
¾ oz. Cointreau
1½ oz. fresh lime juice
1½ oz. simple syrup

Combine all ingredients and ice in a shaker. Shake briskly. Strain into a salt-rimmed glass with ice and garnish with a lime wedge.

Simple Syrup
1 part sugar
1 part hot water
Mix until sugar is completely dissolved.
