(Press Release) October 21, 2025 (Lake Worth Beach, Fla.) — The Cultural Council for Palm Beach County is preparing for its first Main Gallery exhibition of the 2025-2026 season, celebrating stories stitched together through contemporary fiber art. Fiber Optics showcases works by 20 Palm Beach County-based creative professionals who use thread, textile, and technique as their primary medium. The exhibition runs from November 7, 2025 through January 3, 2026 at the Council’s headquarters in Lake Worth Beach. Left: Manuela Gonzalez, Hasta Manana “Today’s fiber artists are pushing the boundaries of the medium—challenging viewers to think differently about what fine art can be,” says Jessica Ransom, the Cultural Council’s director of artist services and exhibition curator. “We invite the public to join us as we celebrate the innovation and originality of these 20 artists.”
Simultaneously, a smaller exhibition called Woven—featuring paper techniques that mirror and expand on methods rooted in fiber—can be viewed in the adjacent Donald M. Ephraim Family Gallery through January 3, 2026. An opening reception for Fiber Optics will take place on Thursday, November 6 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Cultural Council’s headquarters. Live music will be provided by the Encore Chamber Players. The reception is open to the Cultural Council’s donors. Members of the public who are interested in visual art and supporting local artists are also welcome to join by RSVPing at palmbeachculture.com.
