(Press Release) Delray Beach, FL (November 5, 2025) -- Achievement Centers for Children & Families hosted its 14th Annual Mariner’s Witches of Delray Beach Bike Ride Presented by Betr Project; the Crocker Family; Delray Dermatology and Cosmetic Center; and Schumacher Auto Group on Saturday, October 25th. This year’s ride set a fundraising record, bringing in nearly $60,000, thanks to the incredible generosity of sponsors, supporters, and the local community. The flight featured an extended route of two miles, giving witches even more room to soar as they took off from City Hall and cackled down the iconic Atlantic Avenue and Pineapple Grove in a swirl of magic. Three hundred (300) witches donned their best witch-wear and extravagantly decorated brooms (bikes) to ride through scenic Downtown Delray Beach, all guided by the Delray Beach Police Department. After the ride, the witchy celebration continued with a performance by Achievement Center’s Platinum Stepper dancers, the largest stepper program in Palm Beach County. “Best Individual Costume,” was won by Lea Gozzo; “Best Witch Cackle” was won by Sandra Alvarez; “Best Decorated Broom (Bike)” was won by the Key Lime Pie Witch; and “Best Group Theme” was won by the Spell Sisters made up of Klaudia Adams; Stacey Cooley; Lotta Cooper; Cindy Frost; Melissa McCormick; Melanie Melan; Christi Raye; Nathalie Riseley; and Colleen Tuttle. The ride served as the perfect finale to a month-long series of community events supporting Achievement Centers for Children & Families. These events brought neighbors together for memorable experiences and included the October fundraising calendar featured a Hat Decorating Party on October 1st, Witches Trivia Night on October 8th, and Tim Finnegan's Irish Pub's signature "Witches Brew" on October 17th. A new event this year was the inaugural Witches Night Out on October 22nd at Good Night John Boy hosted by Oceans for Kids Foundation. All proceeds from the witchy events directly support Achievement Centers for Children & Families, a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering under-resourced children and families throughout Delray Beach and surrounding areas.
