Credit: Lighthouse ArtCenter (Press Release) Tequesta, Fla., (November 4, 2025) – Lighthouse ArtCenter (LAC) invites the public to celebrate local creativity at its Annual Faculty & Community Exhibition, on view December 4–13, 2025, at 373 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, FL. The exhibition opens with a festive reception on Thursday, December 4, from 5–7 p.m. Admission is free for members and a $5 suggested donation for non-members. "The Faculty Exhibition is a special time of the year when the Lighthouse ArtCenter Gallery and School of Art come together in collaboration. The show is a unique experience where art lovers have the opportunity not only to purchase works by local artists but also to study directly with any of the talented faculty on view." This annual showcase features recent work by Lighthouse ArtCenter's faculty across a variety of media, including painting, ceramics, sculpture, and mixed media, offering visitors a chance to meet instructors, explore class offerings, and gain inspiration from working artists.
Complementing the faculty show is the Community Exhibition, open to all; no professional experience is required. Lighthouse ArtCenter invites anyone in the community to pick up a complimentary 12x12-inch canvas and create an original piece to be displayed anonymously in the show. Completed canvases must be returned to LAC by December 1 to be included in the exhibition. Each work will be available for purchase for $200, with proceeds split 50/50 between the artist and the ArtCenter's mission-driven programs, including free art instruction for veterans, seniors, youth, and individuals with special needs. On Saturday, December 6, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., LAC hosts its annual Community Holiday Sale, where local artists sell handmade artwork, jewelry, ceramics, and gifts, offering visitors the perfect opportunity to shop local and support creatives. Participation is open to all, but space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Art lovers are encouraged to return on Thursday, December 11, from 5–7 p.m. for a new interactive fundraiser, "12x12: Take a Chance." This lively event features a curated selection of outstanding artworks from the 12x12 Community Exhibition. Guests purchase one of twelve numbered slots for $50 on the piece they love. When all slots are filled, two dice are rolled—the matching number wins the artwork. Proceeds support LAC's outreach and education programs. For more information, visit lighthousearts.org.
