(Press Release) JUPITER, FL — Chasin A Dream Foundation is dedicating its Fourth Annual Gala, “Raceway Rendezvous,” to the adrenaline-fueled sport of racing, which roars back to the Wyndham Grand Jupiter at Harbourside Place on Saturday, April 6 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The evening will kick off with an hour-long cocktail reception and silent auction. Afterward, guests will sit down to a sumptuous three-course dinner complemented by a live auction featuring Saffer + Company’s Neil Saffer. An action-packed fashion show, emceed by CBS12 News anchor Sam Kerrigan and Jupiter Magazine publisher Tanya Lorigan, will follow showcasing contemporary fashions exhibited by the charity’s young warriors.
Nine children, between the ages of three and fourteen with illnesses ranging from eye cancer to epilepsy, will walk and wheel down the catwalk and be escorted by current and former race car drivers like Kyle Kirkland, Shane Sawyer, and others. Chasin A Dream’s founder and executive director Lori Griffith will share heartwarming stories about each pintsized supermodel. Like in previous years, the fashion-centric fundraiser is expected to sell out. In 2023, the charity raised $350,000 and hopes to meet its $500,000 goal this year. “We have such an incredible community whose involvement and tireless support has enabled us to enrich the lives of families with children stricken with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses and disabilities,” says Lori Griffith, who launched Chasin A Dream Foundation in July 2017 after serving in the healthcare industry for decades. “Our charity’s based on the tenant ‘locals helping locals’ and there is no shortage of aid and resources we can provide to those who need it.” Funds raised from the event will be used towards Chasin A Dream’s Critical Need and Hospital Backpack initiatives. The former pays for the cost-of-living expenses such as mortgage, utilities, food, and transportation of eligible families. The latter supplies hospitalized children with backpacks containing an iPad or laptop, a handmade life-sized dog toy, crafts, blankets, toiletries, and more. Gala committee chairs are Alex Cotleur, Donna Pantaleo, Josephine Buscemi, Lynette Sawyer, Nikki Raia, Norma Huempfner, Robin Walder, Sarah Chapman, Vicki Hess, and Vivien Bunce.
