(PRESS RELEASE)_WHO: Philanthropy Tank program Green Garments and Resource Depot collaborate for a costume-making event and “Green” Halloween Costume Contest. Green Garments, Philanthropy Tank program, is a student-run organization in Palm Beach County dedicated to supporting sustainable clothing consumption, a mission accomplished through taking discarded clothing and giving them new life. Student volunteers from the Green Garments program will be at Resource Depot assisting people with costume ideas and helping with creative ways to upcycle and recycle materials for “green” costumes. Resource Depot staff will help you explore their Materials Marketplace for items to enhance your eco-friendly costume. WHAT: A costume-making event and “Green Halloween Costume Contest.”
What are the criteria? l Participants have the chance to win Gift Cards l Participants must live in Palm Beach County l Costume must be made from at least 50% upcycled materials l Deadline = October 31st at 4 pm How do you participate in the contest? l Use upcycled materials to make your costume (need materials?
