L-R: Crystal Oldham, Gwenn Feliciano, Karen Liu, Poonam Rani Hooda, Cindy Frost, Colleen Tuttle, Racheal Petullo, Brandi Hyatt, Liliana Ruiz, Jill Merjeski, Victoria Matthews (Press Release) BOCA RATON, FL, September 17, 2025– The Junior League of Boca Raton (JLBR) is asking the community to participate in a food drive for Boca Helping Hands. Non-perishables can be dropped off at the Junior League’s offices from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the Vegso Community Resource Center, 261 N.W. 13th Street, Boca Raton from now until September 30th. So far, the Junior League has collected 1506 pounds of food. The President of the Junior League, Victoria Matthews, visited Boca Helping Hands recently and saw how bare the shelves were. “We want to help fill the shelves with food. There’s an urgent need right now for non-perishables. The people who turn to Boca Helping Hands to help feed their families have been receiving a reduced amount of food in the bags that they get.” Junior League members volunteer every Thursday during the school year at Boca Helping Hands and pack boxes of food for kids to take home from school for the weekend. Often, underserved children don’t have sufficient food for the weekend otherwise. Comments are closed.
