This season, Dreyfoos Hall will come alive with the timeless beauty of Classical and Romantic masterpieces alongside groundbreaking contemporary works by today’s most visionary composers. From the Kravis Center debut of the HANDEL + HAYDN Society—bringing a cherished holiday tradition with the longest-running Messiah series in America—to the anticipated return of the Vienna Philharmonic with Maestro Andris Nelsons and the incomparable Lang Lang, the lineup is nothing short of extraordinary. Experience the captivating artistry of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Minería, fresh off its sold-out performances across the country, and we’ll celebrate the history of African American opera singers with acclaimed tenor Limmie Pulliam performing with Florida’s oldest cultural institution with the Jacksonville Symphony. Following his thrilling debut performance, virtuoso violinist Ray Chen returns with the UK’s legendary Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The elite Mexican orchestra returns with their charismatic music director, Carlos Miguel Prieto and the trumpet sensation, Pacho Flores. Along with another exciting program of composers like Ginastera and Revueltas, Pacho Flores will perform two trumpet concerti with the orchestra – Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto and Paquito d’Rivera’s Concerto Venezolano. Tenor Limmie Pulliam is considered one of the most thrilling opera singers of his generation and he recently became the first African American in the history of the Metropolitan Opera to perform the role of Radamès in Verdi’s Aida. Limmie will be joined by one of Florida’s oldest cultural institutions, the Jacksonville Symphony, in a program featuring beloved operatic standards by Puccini, Verdi and more.
