Kravis Sets 2026-27 Classical Concert Series

(Press Release) West Palm Beach, Fla. (February 26, 2026) – The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is thrilled to announce the 2026–2027 Classical Concert Series, which continues its legacy as South Florida's largest classical program with a season of unprecedented artistry. From legendary virtuosos and celebrated conductors to world-renowned orchestras making their debuts, the series promises to be another extraordinary season of classical music, generously sponsored by Leonard and Sophie Davis. 

The season opens with the esteemed Chamber Orchestra of Europe making its Kravis Center debut under the baton of Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Music Director of the Metropolitan Opera and Philadelphia Orchestra, who will be joined by Italian piano prodigy Beatrice Rana. One of Europe's finest orchestras, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra also makes its hall debut, led by Chief Conductor Lahav Shani and the incomparable violinist, Anne-Sophie Mutter, celebrating 50 years of concertizing around the world!

The superstar pianist, Yuja Wang, makes her Kravis Center debut in a rare solo recital. Spain's renowned string ensemble, Concerto Málaga, will make their debut with two-time Grammy® Award-winning guitarist Sharon Isbin. The London Symphony Orchestra returns with two performances and programs under Chief Conductor Sir Antonio Pappano. For the evening, they will be joined by one of the world's most celebrated violinists, Maxim Vengerov, and for the matinee performance, the LSO will be joined by renowned cellist Alisa Weilerstein.

The esteemed Chamber Orchestra of Europe recorded and performed all of Brahms’ symphonies and concertos under world-renowned conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin while artists-in-residence at Carnegie Hall. In their Kravis Center debut, they will present Brahms’ Romantic triumph, Symphony No. 2 with their longtime musical partner, Italian piano prodigy Beatrice Rana, to perform Brahms’ epic masterpiece, the Second Piano Concerto.

National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine

The National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine is one of the finest symphony orchestras in Eastern Europe and will return to North America to celebrate their rich musical history. Along with pieces by Ukrainian composers, they will perform Liszt’s virtuosic first piano Concerto with Antonii Baryshevskyi. Their program will also include Dvořák’s beautiful Fifth Symphony that he completed in only six weeks.

London’s famed Academy of St Martin in the Fields returns to the Kravis Center with pianist and composer, Conrad Tao, who caused a sensation at his Dreyfoos Hall debut in our 23–24 season. The internationally acclaimed orchestra is celebrated for its awe-inspiring interpretations and mastery of the classical repertoire. Conrad Tao has been dubbed “the kind of musician who is shaping the future of classical music” by New York Magazine, and an artist of “probing intellect and open-hearted vision” by The New York Times.

Shostakovich, Symphony No. 8
For their evening performance, the LSO and Chief Conductor Pappano are joined by one of the world’s most celebrated violinists, Maxim Vengerov. They will perform Beethoven’s Romantic masterpiece—the Violin Concerto in D Major—and Shostakovich’s grand Eighth Symphony, considered one of his finest works.

Itzhak Perlman, reigning virtuoso of the violin, presents traditional klezmer music, “In the Fiddler’s House.” First released more than 25 years ago, the program became a PBS special that earned Perlman his third Emmy Award®. This presentation brings the foot-stomping, heartbeat-raising music to audiences around the country, exposing them to a unique and unforgettable cultural music experience that will leave them dancing in the aisles.

Two-time Grammy Award® winner Sharon Isbin is hailed as the preeminent guitarist of our time. Acclaimed for her extraordinary lyricism, technique and versatility, Sharon remains the only classical guitarist to have recorded with the New York Philharmonic. Sharon will unite with Spain’s renowned string ensemble Concerto Málaga for a thrilling and movingly beautiful program of Latin masterpieces.

The Cleveland Orchestra will honor their visionary Music Director, Franz Welser-Möst, in his 25th and final season with TCO. As the orchestra’s longest-serving Music Director, Franz shaped an unmistakable sound culture and reaffirmed the orchestra’s international acclaim. They will perform Strauss’ memorial elegy, Metamorphosen.

Widely considered one of Europe’s finest orchestras, the Munich Philharmonic will be joined by the reigning Queen of the Violin, Anne-Sophie Mutter, to celebrate her 50 years of concertizing. In their Kravis Center debut, the Munich Philharmonic will be led by Chief Conductor, Lahav Shani, in a performance of Bruckner’s popular and “Romantic” Fourth Symphony and Brahms’ divine Violin Concerto.

In their matinee performance, the Orchestra will be joined by star cellist, Alisa Weilerstein, and their illustrious Chief Conductor, Sir Antonio Pappano. The program includes Elgar’s lyrical and passionate Cello Concerto—premiered by the LSO in 1919— and Richard Strauss’ famous autobiographical tone poem, Ein Heldenleben.

The extraordinary pianist makes her Kravis Center debut in a rare solo recital.
