(June 4, 2024)--Lighthouse ArtCenter (LAC) is delighted to announce an artist panel discussion on Thursday, June 20, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at LAC Gallery located at 373 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, FL 33469. Led by the new LAC curator, Anthony Record, this enlightening discussion will feature three esteemed LAC instructors and exhibiting artists from the current exhibition, "Artistry Through The Ages: 60 Years of Inspiration": Eduardo Gomez Rojas, Ralph Papa, and Manon Sander. "Artistry Through The Ages" showcases the creativity and legacy of works by these three artists, who have been integral figures in LAC's rich history. Visitors can enjoy the paintings by Ralph Papa and Manon Sander and the sculptures of Eduardo Gomez Rojas. The exhibition also offers a vintage photo journey from the ArtCenter's archives, visually narrating its history, including its origins with a group of eight artists and Christopher D. Norton, the son of Ralph Norton, founder of the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach. "Eduardo Gomez Rojas, Ralph Papa, and Manon Sander are not only accomplished artists but also dedicated educators who have made indelible contributions to our artistic community," remarked Anthony Record, Lighthouse ArtCenter's Curator. "I am excited to unite these esteemed instructors for a conversation that promises to be both enlightening and inspiring. Their diverse artistic styles, teaching approaches, and personal journeys in the art world offer many insights for artists and art enthusiasts alike."
Eduardo Gomez Rojas, a distinguished figurative sculptor and instructor, has been integral to Lighthouse ArtCenter for thirteen years. His evocative sculptures, characterized by their force and passion, have garnered international acclaim and can be found in public and private collections worldwide. Ralph Papa, a lifelong artist and community activist, has taught at Lighthouse ArtCenter for twelve years. Papa brings his passion for plein air and studio painting to LAC. His artworks, featured in public and private collections across the U.S., Canada, and Europe, reflect his dedication to visual creativity and artistic education. Manon Sander, an award-winning contemporary impressionist, has taught at LAC for twelve years. Sander infuses her paintings with luminous colors and expressive brushstrokes. Her works exhibited in juried shows and publications worldwide captivate audiences with their vibrant energy and emotional depth.
