Maltz 'Broadway's Bight Lights' Tickets on Sale

8/6/2025

Picture
(Press Release) August 5, 2025 (Jupiter, FL) - Single tickets for Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s highly anticipated 2025/26 season, “Broadway’s Bright Lights” are officially on sale since yesterday, August 4 at 10am. Whether a former patron, or a new guest to the Theatre, all are invited to purchase tickets online, or in person, and be among the first to secure their seats for this dazzling new lineup of MainStage productions. For those interested in attending multiple shows, the Theatre encourages audiences to consider a Season Subscription, offering the best seats at the best value all season long.

Producing Artistic Director Andrew Kato says, “Single ticket sales are perfect for those that may not be in town during the whole year, or may not want to commit to a season subscription. They’re also great surprises for date nights, to go out with friends, or to give as a gift for the holidays.” The Maltz Jupiter Theatre's 2025/26 season is aptly named “Broadway's Bright Lights,” as each of the upcoming MainStage productions has graced the Broadway stage. The Maltz Jupiter Theatre has listened to its fan base and, in building the 2025/26 Season, ensures that well-known musicals will be brought to the MainStage, and beloved Limited Engagements will return to The Island Theatre for those who missed them the first time.

The 2025/26 Season begins with Misery (October 26 - November 9), with opening night perfectly timed for Halloween evening. Based on the acclaimed thriller by best-selling author Stephen King, screenwriter William Goldman, who wrote the 1990 film adaptation, also wrote the stage play, which premiered on Broadway in 2015. The story follows novelist Paul Sheldon, when he crashes his car on a snowy Colorado road and is rescued by his self-proclaimed "number one fan," Annie Wilkes. Annie's obsession takes a dark turn when she discovers Paul has killed off her favorite character in his latest book. Trapped in Annie's isolated home, Paul must use his wit to escape her wrath. The one-location setting of Misery is perfect for the stage, creating a claustrophobic atmosphere that mirrors Paul's experience. Misery explores the dark side of fan culture and the power dynamics between creators and their admirers. *Contains adult subject matter.

Then, Tony Award®-nominated jukebox musical Million Dollar Quartet (December 2 - December 14) will transport audiences back to 1950s Memphis, where rock 'n' roll icons Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash spontaneously jammed at Sun Records. Featuring hits like "Blue Suede Shoes" and "Hound Dog," the show brings this legendary night to life. The musical is based on a true story. On December 4, 1956, the four musicians coincidentally gathered at Sun Studios. Sam Phillips, record producer, recognizing the historic moment, recorded the session and invited reporter Bob Johnson to document it. Johnson's article, titled "Million Dollar Quartet," captured the session's energy and inspired the musical adaptation by Floyd Mutrux and Colin Escott.

Next, the heartwarming musical by Irene Sankoff and David Hein,
Come From Away (January 6 - January 25), which we aren’t able to announce until March 3. This musical tells the remarkable true story of 7,000 airline passengers stranded in Gander, Newfoundland, after 9/11. The small town's residents opened their hearts and homes to the "come from aways" (Newfoundland slang for visitors), forging unexpected friendships during a global crisis. The musical's innovative staging and diverse score of folk and rock music capture the characters' varied perspectives and celebrate the human spirit's resilience. Come From Away reminds us that even in the darkest times, hope and compassion can prevail.

Fresh off of a Broadway run in 2023, we bring you
Good Night, Oscar written by Dough Wright: a drama comedy based on the life of Oscar Levant, a concert pianist, composer, and actor (February 15 - March 1). The play is set in 1958 during a fictional taping of "The Tonight Show" with Jack Paar. Levant's candidness about his mental health challenges, openly discussed in his writings and public appearances, made him relatable to his audiences at a time when mental health was rarely addressed. The show's conclusion features Levant serenading the audience with a piano solo of "Rhapsody in Blue," the perfect exemplification of his artistry, and an ode to his musical beginnings.

Written by Dale Wasserman, Music by Mitch Leigh, and Lyrics by Joe Darion, this Broadway favorite,
Man of La Mancha, based on the 17th century novel, Don Quixote, is one of the most enduring works of musical theater (March 17 - April 5). This timeless treasure has won five Tony Awards® including Best Musical, and has been revived on Broadway four times.

Powerful, brutal, hilarious, and heartbreaking, this classic production depicts the perseverance of a dying old man who refuses to relinquish his ideals and is determined to see life not as it is, but as it ought to be. With its iconic score, including “The Impossible Dream,” audiences will experience the power of theatre, the bravery of holding strong to our dreams, and the resilience of the imagination.

Then, join 8-time Carbonell Award Winner Jeni Hacker in Color Me Barbra: Songs of Streisand (March 6). Finally, see Tony Award® Winner and the original Cassie in A Chorus Line in Donna McKechnie: Take Me To The World - The Songs of Stephen Sondheim (March 7).

We finalize the Island Theatre season with Fully Committed (April 16 - April 19, 2026), a one-man comedy. This play offers you a look into the day-in-the-life of Sam, an out-of-work actor turned reservation line operator for one of Manhattan’s most coveted restaurants. In this hilarious one-man comedy, one actor will seamlessly transition into forty completely different and unique characters over the course of the evening, as you learn just how far some people will go to get a table.
