Courtesy of Delray Beach Downtown District Authority (Press Release) BOCA RATON & DELRAY BEACH — This Valentine’s Day, one can only hope South Florida’s frigid temps stick around because they’re the perfect excuse to cozy up at Gary Rack’s Farmhouse Kitchen in Boca Raton and Delray Beach, where j’adore is adored. Chef Demetrio Zavala—a multi-champion Food Network’s Chopped competitor who has appeared on the series multiple times, including a $100,000 win in the Chopped: Grudge Match tournament—is planning not a one-evening experience, but a four-night culinary love story featuring a three-course Valentine’s specials menu served February 12–15 (Thursday through Sunday). Toast the evening into gear with a complimentary glass of prosecco for the ladies, then raise the romance bar with one of Farmhouse’s specialty Valentine’s Day cocktails, like the “Honey Do” made with Milagro Reposado tequila with Cointreau, orange juice, honey, cinnamon, lemon, and a cinnamon-dashed orange slice ($17), or “Love @ 1st Sip” that blends vodka, strawberry purée, angostura bitters, honey, and a strawberry slice ($17).
Next, settle into Farmhouse’s three-course Valentine’s specials menu, which begins with a Beet and Citrus Salad featuring whipped ricotta, arugula, and toasted almonds ($21), followed by a choice of entrées: a 12 oz New York Strip Oscar topped with jumbo lump crab and paired with porcini demi, cream spinach purée, whipped potatoes, and béarnaise sauce ($55), or just-reeled-in Roasted Branzino served with lemon-scented white bean purée, white beans, baby kale, vinaigrette, and garlic ($44). Valentine’s Day wouldn’t be Valentine’s Day if it wasn’t for dessert, so seal the night with a “feed-each-other finale” from Farmhouse’s dessert menu, available throughout the celebration and featuring Flourless Chocolate Cake with fresh berries, sorbet, and chocolate sauce; Apple Gooey Butter Cake with roasted apples, vanilla gelato, and caramel sauce ($19); Monster Carrot Cake with walnuts, pineapple, raisins, whipped cream, and caramel sauce ($26); and Key Lime Crème Brûlée with Key limes, berries, cream, and toasted sugar ($12). Feeling sexy yet? Oh, behave! Gary Rack’s Farmhouse Kitchen is located at 399 SE Mizner Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33432, and 204 E Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33444.
