It's an homage to a golden era of Palm Beach opulence and the stylish legacy of its muse, namesake and grandmother of co-founder Alex Melillo - the iconic Mary Lou Curtis, a bold, unapologetic force in the West Palm Beach fashion scene, celebrated for her daring spirit and playful flair.

On Thursday, January 23, the industry titans debuted the refined cocktail lounge and entertainment epicenter with a Black Tie Surrealism Affair in celebration of "The Mythical Mary Lou". The invite only affair resurrected a sense of fantasy and thoughtless fun for a curated guest list of VIPs, tastemakers and friends of the brand.

Throughout the night, attendees were treated to a tantalizing lineup of music performances ranging from the soulful jazz vocals of Goldie Heart to an electrifying DJ set from Pete Bolte. On the periphery, contortionists and a troupe of female entertainers infused the evening with a seductive and mesmerizing allure.

Along with its grand unveiling, Mary Lou's is proud to announce an exciting expansion to its board of creative collaborators, welcoming two time Grammy nominated dance music duo Sofi Tukker as Creative Entertainment Directors alongside The Chainsmokers. Through this partnership, Sofi Tukker (Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern) are taking an active role in the creative process, refining acoustics and lending their expertise to talent curation, exemplifying Mary Lou's unique value proposition as a true artist's venue designed with their needs in focus. Their synergistic approach ensures the venue's debut season will be nothing short of extraordinary.  This ever-growing collective of visionary tastemakers ultimately showcases Mary Lou's unwavering commitment to revolutionizing live entertainment and culture in the West Palm Beach area.

An evening at Mary Lou's - much like the woman who inspired it all - promises to be anything but ordinary, as you never know who or what you may experience. Reimagining the unabashed extravagance and legendary parties of the 70's and 80's Palm Beach through a modern lens, eating, drinking and dancing will converge as guests enjoy light fare cuisine, hand crafted cocktails and world-class entertainment set against an unparalleled backdrop.

Infusing a celebration of life's finer pleasures in every detail,a wanderlust-inspired martini menu offers an artisanal journey through the timeless cocktail's storied history. Starting in 1896 with a classic Dry Gin Martini, the experience concludes in 1983 with a reimagined Espresso Martini - the "Espress Yourself" - delicately sweetened with Okinawa sugar and perfected with salted milk ice for a sophisticated touch.

The "Bites" menu makes just as grand of an entrance with an Altima Caviar menu that invites you to "pick your poison" between "traditional" or "modern" accouterments, inclusive of fried chicken bites, house made doritos and hash browns. Offering an indulgent blend of local flavors, comforting tradition, and bold innovation, Mary Lou's bites - big or small - promise an experience that tantalizes the palate, transforming dining out into a culinary adventure.

The Venue:

Situated on the corner of Southern Boulevard and South Olive Avenue (250 Southern Blvd), nothing at Mary Lou's is ever as it seems. Maintaining the corner-store facade of its predecessor Berto's Bait and Tackle, a West Palm Beach staple that served local fishing enthusiasts and craft beer connoisseurs for over 50 years, one might never guess that this familiar exterior conceals a decadent, richly layered world within its walls.

Stepping into Mary Lou's reveals a delightful juxtaposition of the past and present, each space carefully crafted to exude both sophistication and a touch of hedonism. The speakeasy entrance immediately immerses patrons into the storied history of the establishment, replicating the look and feel of The Corner Store complete with rustic touches, fishing memorabilia and a distinctly coastal charm.

As visitors progress further into the venue, they embark a visual and sensory journey, moving from this modest homage to a stunning vestibule that signals the grand unveiling of Mary Lou's domain. Designed by Volenec Studio, the lounge itself dramatically emerges as a sensory stimulating, grandeur space filled with ornate wood paneling, one-of-a-kind artwork and antique velvet drapery, creating an atmosphere that feels both intimate and boldly seductive. The centerpiece-a surrealist mural -commands attention, blending hints of the past with a contemporary allure, drawing guests deeper into this decadent escape. Every detail is crafted to evoke secrecy and a hint of indulgence, inviting visitors to immerse themselves fully in this rich, layered Palm Beach oasis.
