Morikami's 'Taste of Asia' Sold-Out Success

(Press Release) Delray Beach, FL – On March 8, more than 250 guests were transported to the Land of the Rising Sun during the sold-out “A Taste of Asia: A Culinary and Cultural Experience” at Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach.

At the annual food festival-style fundraiser, participants were provided culinary passports giving them VIP access to topflight Asian gastronomy from South Florida’s most celebrated restaurants and top chefs. Participating restaurants Nobu Miami, Sushi Yasu Tanaka, Ganzo Sushi, The Sea Kitchen, Ramen Lab Eatery, Sushi By Boū, Kapow! Noodle Bar, Cornell Café, LoLa 41 Palm Beach, Midorie Miami, Kasumi, and AlleyCat. 

Guests enjoyed live taiko drumming by Fushu Daiko, premium whiskey, sake, and beer tastings, live and silent auctions, mixed media art exhibit by artist Sean Danconia, personalized calligraphy by Kei's Smile Factory, and dancing under the stars to J-pop classics by DJ Mike Locke.  

Event sponsors were JM Family Enterprises, Nobu Hotel Miami Beach, J.P. Morgan, The Arbor of Delray, and The Estates of Morikami Park Road. 

Proceeds raised benefit Morikami’s 4 E’s: Education, Exhibitions, Expansion, and Emotional Well-Being Program.
