(Press Release) BOCA RATON, FL, December 16, 2025– Jeannine Morris, who was the nominee for Place of Hope at the Leighan and David Rinker Campus, was named Woman Volunteer of the Year at The Junior League of Boca Raton (JLBR) Woman Volunteer of the Year annual luncheon. Mrs. Morris was chosen from among 40 outstanding women volunteers nominated by non-profits around Palm Beach and Northern Broward counties for the prestigious award. More than 900 people attended the lavish event. For 20 years, Jeannine Morris has been deeply involved with Place of Hope, where she serves on the board of directors. In 2013, she helped the organization launch their Boca Raton campus by making key introductions and fundraising. She has served as President of the Angel Moms and has mentored two young women for more than 12 years. In 2016, she and her husband became licensed respite foster parents, caring for infants in crisis. They also provided the lead gift for the “Care for the Caregivers” initiative to support Place of Hope’s front-line staff. She emphasizes compassion, connection and hands-on care, reflecting her deep commitment to transforming young lives. In addition, she just completed a two-year term as Co-President of Impact 100 Palm Beach County. The 38th Annual Woman Volunteer of the Year (WVOY) Luncheon was held on November 21 at The Boca Raton. Carrie Rubin served as the honorary chair and Namrata Israni and Racheal Petullo were event co-chairs. The Woman Volunteer of the Year Luncheon celebrates outstanding women in the community nominated by nonprofit organizations throughout Palm Beach County and Northern Broward County for their dedication and expertise as volunteers, as well as the work they do to further the missions of the organizations they serve. The much-anticipated event included a runway fashion show by The Boca Raton, the iconic resort and private club.
