(PRESS RELEASE)_(West Palm Beach, FL) – MorseLife Health System hosted its 2023 Biennial Meeting and Dinner with board members, donors and supporters as they came together to reflect on the organization’s exponential growth and success while announcing new board and committee members. Longtime MorseLife supporter and Chairman Stephen A. Levin was honored with the Chairman’s Award, presented by incoming Chairman and Palm Beach philanthropist David S. Mack on Wednesday, April 19, at the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach. “MorseLife has become the premier senior lifestyle community in South Florida, considered the finest in senior living with the highest standards of medical care,” said President and CEO of MorseLife Health System Keith A. Myers. “Through MorseLife’s advanced and extensive programming, we serve as the lifeline of care and compassion for the 3,600 frail and needy seniors we touch daily. Thanks to support from our donors, we have seen tremendous growth with all our programs and service offerings, community presence, and impact. We congratulate David S. Mack for stepping into the role as our new Chairman while thanking Stephen A. Levin for his tireless dedication to our board.” “David Mack and his wife Sondra have been major supporters of MorseLife for many years,” continued Myers. “The Mack’s contributions to the growth and success of this organization are immeasurable, as evidenced by the Sondra and David S. Mack Short Term Rehabilitation Pavilion that bears their name on the MorseLife campus. We are thrilled to welcome our new Chairman, David S. Mack, and we can’t wait to see what happens under his leadership in the next four years.”
The MorseLife Chairman’s Award is presented to an individual who has gone above and beyond in philanthropy and leadership. Therefore, it was very befitting that Mr. Mack’s first act as Chairman was to present the award to Mr. Levin. Mack was the first-ever recipient of the award years ago. “It really is an honor for me to present this award to a longtime friend and dedicated individual to our community, Stephen Levin,” said Mr. Mack. “We all know Rome was not built in a day; great things take great people to create – from concept to reality. Our single advantage has been Stephen’s leadership, and ability to inspire others with a common purpose, our MorseLife. MorseLife has grown over the last ten years thanks to his leadership. As a result, MorseLife has become one of the most respected healthcare and residential service providers for seniors in the southeast. We are honored to have been named “Best Nursing Home” by U.S. News & World Report, received the Governor’s Gold Seal Award for Long Term Care Excellence, earned Joint Commission Accreditation and a 5-star rating by the Agency on Health Care.” In addition to the numerous honors that MorseLife has received, Mr. Myers was proud to announce the expansion of MorseLife’s award-winning Hospice Program and MorseLife’s Holocaust Learning Experience and catalog of lessons for youth education services. After the meeting, guests enjoyed al fresco cocktails in the Norton’s sculpture garden and were then seated for dinner. Seth Rudetsky, known as “the Voice of Broadway Across America,” provided entertainment for the evening.
