"We're incredibly excited about the future of the Schoolhouse Children's Museum with Meaghan and Alexa stepping into these key leadership roles. Their combined experience and passion for education, and community engagement are exactly what we need as we continue to grow and inspire the next generation of thinkers, creators, and dreamers. I am confident their fresh ideas and dedication will help take our museum to new heights" Says Executive Director, Miriam Naranjo.

Before joining the museum, Meaghan worked in hotel operations, where she gained extensive experience in guest relations and daily management.

In her role, Meaghan oversees day-to-day operations, streamline processes, manages logistics, and supports staff—ensuring the Museum consistently delivers exceptional and meaningful experiences to the community. Her unique ability to blend operational efficiency with a deep understanding of educational engagement makes her a key driver of the Museum’s mission to connect history, culture, and learning in enriching and innovative ways.

Alexa Haimon, Education Manager – Leads the development and delivery of educational programs, field trips, and outreach initiatives, focusing on hands-on, play-based learning for children eight and under.

Alexa brings a love for learning and a rich background in education to the Schoolhouse Children’s Museum. Maegan and Alexa bring a dynamic combination of experience, creativity, and dedication to their new leadership roles at the Schoolhouse Children’s Museum. Maegan’s background in early childhood education and Alexa’s strong foundation in community engagement and program development make them a perfect fit to support the museum’s mission. Both are passionate about creating inclusive, enriching experiences for young learners and families. Their leadership will play a key role in strengthening partnerships, expanding educational offerings, and ensuring the museum continues to serve as a vibrant resource for the community.
