Pastry Chef Returning for Culinary Showdown

(Press Release) JUPITER & NAPLES, FL – Blackbird Modern Asian is proud to announce that executive pastry chef Denise Elrod is returning to the national spotlight with her second appearance on the Food Network’s Guy’s Grocery Games, the hit culinary showdown hosted by Guy Fieri.
 
The episode (“Sweet & Savory Superstars”) airs on Wednesday, August 13, and while the results remain a surprise, the celebrity hotspot will be streaming the show live in the restaurant during dinner service. Patrons are invited to sip, savor, and cheer Denise on as she takes on the competition once again.

Denise’s edible artistry shines on Blackbird’s dessert menu—where her jaw-dropping creations have cultivated a devoted following that travels across South Florida expressly to experience these sweet masterpieces.
 
Among the highlights is the Year of the Snake—a spectacular tableside finale featuring bananas Foster, bread pudding, graham cracker, salted caramel gelato, miso-caramel ganache, cinnamon chili threads, a milk chocolate dragon, and a flaming 151 ring of fire. For those craving something equally bold, the Chocolate Tangerine Bomb dazzles with rich chocolate cake, hazelnut ice cream, caramelized tangerines, toasted ginger marshmallows, and Frangelico chocolate sauce.
 
Blackbird opens daily for dinner at 4 p.m. Entertainment and a live DJ are featured on Friday and Saturday evenings from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. The restaurant also hosts a daily happy hour menu with half-priced cocktails, wine, and beer on Monday from 4 p.m. until close and Tuesday through Sunday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
