(Press Release) Jupiter, Florida (September 30, 2026) The Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival, Florida’s longest-running professional Shakespeare company, announces its upcoming 2026-2027 season. Productions include the 7th Annual Shakespeare by the Palms presentation of William Shakespeare’s HAMLET on February 11 - 14 at Veteran’s Park Amphitheater in Royal Palm Beach, and the 37th Annual Shakespeare by the Sea production of THE TEMPEST on July 8 – 18 at the Seabreeze Amphitheater in Carlin Park, Jupiter.

Considered one of the greatest and most influential plays in western literature, HAMLET follows Prince Hamlet of Denmark as he uncovers the truth about his father’s murder and plots revenge against his deceitful uncle. Driven by grief and madness, his quest for vengeance spirals into a gripping drama of betrayal, political intrigue, and fatal consequences. Performances run February 11 – 14 at 7 p.m.

This summer, prepare for the power of THE TEMPEST! When an exiled duke uses sorcery to shipwreck his treacherous brother on a remote island, he sets a magical plan for vengeance and restoration into motion. Filled with spirits, young lovers, and monstrous creatures, THE TEMPEST is an enchanting tale of forgiveness, romance, and the power of letting go. Performances run July 8 – 11 and 15 – 18 at 8 p.m.

Both Shakespeare by the Palms and Shakespeare by the Sea festivals are free of charge with a suggested donation of $5 per person. Guests are invited to bring their own blankets or beach chairs, picnic baskets and beverages. Food trucks will be on-site for concession purchases. Friendly pets on leashes are welcomed to both all-ages productions.

In addition to its free, outdoor public performances, the Festival continues its educational programming this October as part of the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts’ S*T*A*R (Students & Teachers Arts Resources) Series with a production of MACBETH. This February, in collaboration with the Palm Beach County School District, the Shakespeare Festival brings its free, Sharing Shakespeare in-school outreach programming with scene and verse breakdowns and performances of HAMLET.
