Product Review: EVELYN & KATE Tote Bag

When it comes to the world of tote bags, I can honestly say, they simply are not all created equally. I know this because I am presently the owner of no less than twenty-five in various sizes, materials and colors.

All of this brings me to EVELYN & KATE tote bags. I am new to this brand and when one arrived for review my first impression was, I was impressed. 

The particular bag I received arrived in a lovely white box, emblazened with their logo, inside a protective bag. The tote is called the Westie, but more about that later.

Who, I wondered were Evelyn and Kate?

I discovered they have an interesting story, which took me to Cleveland, Ohio and the Amore Gallery.

Life-long friends, they share a passion for oil painting and design, which they exhibit, together, at the Cleveland gallery.

Well, that sounds intriguing, but how did a tote bag come into the picture I wondered? The answer: Textiles. 

Creatively, they have re-imagined their paintings into patterns on a variety of fabrics, from cotton to silk. These textiles become high-quality fashion accessories and home décor items.

So, let's get back to my particular tote, the Westie.

This original tote features Kate's West Highland Terriers, Willie and Muffin amid lovely roses. While the design is colorful and whimsical, this bag is very spacious and  travel-worthy as it is substantial with sturdy leather straps. I suspect this bag will become a permanent part of my collection. The size is attractive as I travel extensively and my Westie bag will hold an ample amount of my necessities.

Discovering EVELYN & KATE, you will find a plethora of other enticing pieces to brighten not only your wardrobe, but also your home, from silk scarves, napkins and placemats to keychains -- each piece beautifully designed.
