![]() By PAMELA BARKER North Palm Beach Life Once upon a time, I made a comment to a friend about the smell of bacon. I expressed my thoughts in an off-hand way, yet memories of waking up to the smell of bacon, floating into my bedroom from the kitchen, was the most comforting way to begin the day for a non-morning person like me. Well, to my dismay, he disagreed about bacon, but I hold my opinion that scents conjure the most profoundly significant memories and emotions within a human. Obviously, I am not alone, as products to stimulate, calm and refresh our senses are available in every possible form imaginable. In the late 1990's, multi-entrepreneur, accountant, mother and aromatherapy enthusiast, Monica Hadley, created the first 12-Volt Car Fragrance Diffuser. AERON Lifestyle Technologies was born and is still cooking up fragrance products for our senses.
Moving forward with ways to enhance our homes and noses, Bell Aroma was launched in 2016. Recently, one of their products, ScenTrio Petite Wax Warmer, arrived for my review. Don't stop reading if you think this is just another wax-melting apparatus. Alas, you would be misstaken to make that assumption. The small, attractive, handmade ceramic vessel is designed to fit in with your home decor, and features both a power timer and heat level control settings. Environmentally friendly, the product can be used with melts, essential oils or the Belle Aroma No-Mess Tarts. Tarts? Inviting our 12-year-old granddaughter, Cate, to assist in launching our first foray with the Petite Wax Warmer, we were perplexed at the design. It looked and felt quite different from the typical melt. There's a good reason for that: The tarts are made from resin and you use the low setting to release the scent. This system, slow warming on low, and a timer from 4-to-24 hours, prevents the product from melting. Hence, clean up is easy. Warmed slowly, there is nothing to clean as you simly remove the disc, which resembles a waffle fry. The results of this aroma process? Our granddaughter and I both give it a thumbs up. We had two scents -- Thai Orchid and Melon Blossom -- and we chose to test the latter. It is sweet and fruity. As the warmer begins to release the fragrance, you detect hints of watermelon, Acai berry, pomegranate, honeydew Blossom, raspberry, cantaloupe and, interestingly, prickly pear. The package states the tarts last four times longer than wax melts. They do, as well as evoked memories for me of being in my father's fruit orchard. Like bacon when I was a kid, this particular aroma will bring special memories of our granddaughter, Cate, assisting in the process. Oh, in addition to the tarts, Belle Aroma also offers, No-Mess Tart Cups (you put a tart inside the cup and drop it into the ceramic warmer), and Pure & Organic Essential Oils. Both Cate and I were especially pleased to see they do no animal testing. For more on the company and their products: www.bellearoma.com Comments are closed.
