(Press Release) WEST PALM BEACH, FL, May 28, 2024 — Resource Depot, the creative reuse center dedicated to environmental sustainability and education, announced today it raised nearly $4,000 through the nonprofit’s "Love Your Mama a Ton" campaign. The sustainability-focused campaign, which ran from Earth Day (April 22) through Mother’s Day (May 12), set out to honor both Mother Earth and Mother’s Day by raising funds to support Resource Depot's vital work. The funds will contribute to Resource Depot’s mission of promoting environmental education and creativity through reuse programs. On average, it costs Resource Depot $3.98 to process one pound of donated materials. This includes the cost for staff to organize, sanitize and label the goods. By raising nearly $4,000, it is equivalent to the cost of processing nearly a half-ton (1,000lbs) of rescued goods. Jennifer O’Brien, Executive Director of Resource Depot, expressed her gratitude for the community's response to the campaign, stating, "We are truly humbled by the outpouring of support for the 'Love Your Mama a Ton' campaign. This tremendous show of generosity underscores the importance of environmental stewardship and the appreciation for both Mother Earth and mothers everywhere.”
The success of the campaign also reflects the community's commitment to sustainability and the recognition of Resource Depot's role in fostering environmental awareness. Through the generosity of donors and supporters, Resource Depot continues to make a meaningful impact in West Palm Beach and beyond. Comments are closed.
