Credit: Blackbird Modern Asian (Press Release) JUPITER, FL--New Year’s Eve has a way of inspiring wanderlust, but if an overseas escape isn’t in the cards this year, usher in the new year at Blackbird Modern Asian instead. On December 31, the glamorous Jupiter hotspot will indulge guests with an evening of razzle-dazzle, party swag for festive merrymaking, a roaming photographer from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., a complimentary champagne toast at midnight, and DJ Angie Be (@angiebemusic) spinning high-energy sets from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Executive chef Tim Nickey will offer an à la carte menu from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by a four-course prix fixe menu ($165 per person plus tax and gratuity; includes one complimentary glass of champagne) featuring Pan-Asian masterpieces from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Happy hour runs from 4 to 6 p.m. with half-off drinks (not food) at the main and upstairs bars, which will also offer open seating and à la carte dining throughout the evening.
Menu highlights include a lobster dumpling draped in spicy togarashi miso butter sauce; lobster bisque with tempura Maine lobster and Thai aromatics; wagyu filet with matchstick potato and sweet soy glaze; branzino with ginger mojo and white soy ponzu; lobster lo mein with Cantonese-style ginger scallion noodles; and drunken chicken marinated 72 hours in sake and seaweed and paired with Asian slaw and cucumber ponzu. Guests may also enhance their experience with Blackbird’s famed Peking Duck (+$97; feeds 2–4), served with Chinese pancakes, classic Beijing garnish, and hoisin sauce. Few do wow-worthy desserts better than Blackbird’s award-winning executive pastry chef and two-time Guy’s Grocery Games winner, Denise Elrod. Tuck into her banana split sundae layered with roasted banana gelato, palm sugar whip, chocolate sauce, peanut brittle, fresh strawberries, and a golden chocolate cherry; or indulge in the Blossom Brownie—a warm black sesame brownie plated with cherry blossom whipped ganache, a dark cherry ice cream bonbon, and berry-chocolate sauce. The bar will remain open until 1 a.m., and guests staying for the midnight countdown will be treated to a celebratory sparkler display surrounding the restaurant’s 12-foot-tall golden Buddha. Reservations for all party sizes are accepted and highly recommended. Walk-ins will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis. Seating begins at 4 p.m. Blackbird Modern Asian will also be open on New Year’s Day from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Comments are closed.
