(Press Release) Boca Raton, FL (August 28, 2025) – Local businesses gathered more than 19,000 meals for local families during July through Boca Helping Hands (BHH) Second Annual Corporate Challenge Hunger Games. The challenge brought in 22,879 pounds of food (each pound equates to at least one meal) with seven local businesses vying for the title of 2025 Champion and the bragging rights to “Raise the Belt” in victory by getting their staff members to donate food. “Demand for our services remained steady over the summer, but with many of our donors away for the season, we experience a significant decline in the amount of food we collect,” said Bill Harper, Senior Director of Operations at Boca Helping Hands. “That’s why we organize the Corporate Challenge—to score a takedown on hunger.” The Corporate Challenge Bantamweight (50 employees or fewer) winner was SouthState Bank. The Middleweight (51 to 100 employees) winner was Woolbright Development. The Heavyweight (101 or more employees) winner was ADMA Biologics. Proceeds from the event will help BHH serve over 35,000 people in the South Florida community through its programs, including hunger relief, job training, healthcare, emergency financial assistance, childcare, and weekend meals for Palm Beach County school children.
