(Press Release) The South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA), operator of Tri-Rail commuter rail services, is making it easier and more convenient for fans to attend soccer games at Miami Freedom Park during the Inter Miami CF 2026 MLS season, with special train service. Tri-Rail will operate a special train departing after the conclusion of weekend evening games, with plenty of time for fans to return to the station and travel home safely. All other games will be easily accessible using Tri-Rail’s regular schedule.
“We have an amazing opportunity to offer fans a way to get to the soccer matches without the hassle of traffic or the high costs of parking,” said Diane Hernandez Del Calvo, SFRTA Interim Executive Director. “With Tri-Rail trains stopping just steps from the new stadium, this is the best way for people traveling from Palm Beach, Broward or even north Miami-Dade County to get to Miami Freedom Park.” Tri-Rail’s southernmost station, Miami Airport Station at the Miami Intermodal Center, is located within walking distance of Miami Freedom Park—less than a quarter mile from the station to the park entrance—providing soccer fans with convenient connections to all Tri-Rail stations to the north. With most Inter Miami CF games scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays, fans can take advantage of Tri-Rail’s $5 Weekend Day Pass, which allows unlimited rides on the day purchased. For weekday games, round-trip passes range from $5 to $17.50 based on the distance traveled, keeping it an affordable option for any day of the week. “Our goal is to make getting to the game as easy as possible for fans,” added Ms. Hernandez Del Calvo. “By offering this special train service with the convenient connection at Miami Airport Station, we are providing an affordable way to enjoy the games and travel back home comfortably.” Fans are encouraged to plan their trip in advance and check schedules before traveling.
