(Press Release) May 14, 2026 (West Palm Beach, Fla.) — The Armory Art Center is preparing for two new exhibitions this summer, celebrating photography, nature, and minimalism in art.

Print & Shoot and Ephemeral Landscapes run from May 18 – July 10, 2026, with a reception that’s open to the public on Thursday, May 21 at 5:30 p.m.
“We look forward to celebrating the start of summer with these two fantastic exhibitions at the Armory this month,” said Jill Brown, Armory Art Center CEO. “With a focus on natural beauty, light, and simplicity, these two exhibitions remind us of what it means to take a deep breath and appreciate the world around us.”

About Print & Shoot
This juried exhibition of Florida-based artists delves into the essence of minimalism, highlighting the beauty found in simplicity, clean lines, and the thoughtful use of negative space. Featuring a range of bold prints and captivating photographs, Print & Shoot emphasizes the idea that sometimes, less is truly more, celebrating artistic expressions that embrace intentional reduction.

Featured artists include:

  • Andrew Weinstein

About Ephemeral Landscapes
As the winner of the Armory’s first annual “Art Throwdown” fundraiser competition in February, local artist Amy Kutell was granted a solo exhibition, Ephemeral Landscapes. Her work is inspired by the natural world around her. Displayed in geographic categories, they represent different locales and time periods throughout her artistic journey, exploring natural views, light and composition.
Kutell serves as an art educator at Rambam School in Miami, where they cultivate artistic talent among elementary students. Drawing on art expertise and experience, they guide student artists in their artistic development, employing the Teaching for Artistic Behavior (TAB) methodology. Prior to their role in education, Kutell worked as a textile designer at JR United, developing patterns for menswear and jacquard woven towels. Her background includes a Master of Science from Florida International University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cornell University.

Even More Celebrations at the Armory
Print & Shoot and Ephemeral Landscapes run May 18 – July 10, 2026, with a reception open to the public on Thursday, May 21 at 5:30 p.m. All artwork is for sale, and proceeds are split between the artists and the Armory.

The reception will include a special photo booth during the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County’s MOSAIC celebration (Month of Shows, Art, Ideas, and Culture) for guests to enjoy. In celebration of MOSAIC, the Armory is also offering a 10% discount to people interested in classes/camps if they register at the reception.
