(Press Release) West Palm Beach, FL – October 9, 2025 – Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, the nationally beloved brand known for its made-from-scratch dairy and vegan ice creams, is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated debut throughout Palm Beach County. The brand’s second Florida scoop shop opened its doors on Friday, September 5th, within the NORA District at 870 North Railroad Avenue, bringing its signature French-style ice cream and fan-favorite flavors to West Palm Beach. This debut follows the recent opening of the Miami Beach location in March 2025 and marks the first of Van Leeuwen’s expansion throughout Palm Beach County, with upcoming openings in Palm Beach Gardens and Sundy Village in Delray Beach taking place this Fall. “What started nearly 20 years ago as a scoop truck on the streets of New York has grown far beyond what we imagined, and we’re so excited to bring Van Leeuwen to Palm Beach,” says Ben Van Leeuwen, co-founder and CEO. “Palm Beach County’s vibrant community, and laid-back coastal charm make it the perfect place for our next scoop shops. We can’t wait to share our ice cream with locals and visitors alike — good ice cream that makes you feel good.” As part of its Palm Beach debut, Van Leeuwen has partnered with Lilly Pulitzer—the iconic resortwear Palm Beach-born brand—for an exclusive, limited-time assortment of custom Lilly Pulitzer cups featuring prints from the brand’s 2025 collections. Alongside the co-branded cups launching in Mid-November, the NORA District scoop shop will feature a limited-time Lilly sundae crafted with Van Leeuwen’ s Key Lime Pie ice cream, Fabbri Strawberries, whipped cream, and graham cracker crumbs. These custom cups and exclusive sundae will be available only at the NORA District location, while supplies last. As Van Leeuwen’s first Palm Beach County storefront, the NORA District scoop shop—short for North Railroad Avenue—features bold color block elements to complement Van Leeuwen’s signature design concept. The Palm Beach Gardens scoop shop features exciting design elements including custom ceramic tiling inspired by the brand’s Marionberry Cheesecake and Praline Butter Cake ice cream flavors, alongside interactive counter seating directly in front of the waffle cone station, providing guests an opportunity to watch the behind the scenes making of the cones while enjoying their favorite sundae. Located within the heart of Downtown Delray Beach’s historic Sundy Village, the Van Leeuwen Delray Beach scoop shop will be the brand’s second standalone storefront. The store is surrounded by an open-air courtyard and the preserved architectural charm of the village’s landmark buildings. All Palm Beach County scoop shops will feature the brand’s special Florida ice cream flavor –Key Lime Pie, while also offering new seasonal flavors for Fall that includes Italian Hazelnut, Pumpkin Cheesecake, and Passion Fruit Sorbet. In addition to these latest menu additions, the shop will also feature Van Leeuwen’s extensive menu of 25+ signature flavors, including BIGFACE Coffee Affogato, Honeycomb, Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Brownie, Pistachio (made with Sicilian pistachios from Mount Etna), Marionberry Cheesecake, and Earl Grey Tea, alongside sundaes, milkshakes, housemade waffle cones, ice cream sandwiches, and pints-to-go. Popular vegan offerings including Banana Bread Pudding, Peanut Butter Brownie Honeycomb, and Strawberry Shortcake will also be available. Founded in 2008 as a yellow ice cream truck on the streets of NYC, Van Leeuwen has since gained a cult following for its ultra-creamy French-style ice cream (made with twice the amount of egg yolks as standard ice cream), innovative vegan options, and unexpected collaboration flavors. From its award-winning Vanilla Bean (named best vanilla ice cream by The New York Times/Wirecutter) to buzzworthy limited editions such as Kraft Mac & Cheese, Hidden Valley Ranch, and Espresso (with singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter), Van Leeuwen continues to push the boundaries of ice cream. All Van Leeuwen Palm Beach County locations will serve scoops, sundaes, and pints to-go. For more information, visit vanleeuwenicecream.com or follow @vanleeuwenicecream on social media.
