(Press Release) (West Palm Beach, FL – February 2, 2026) The League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County (LWVPBC) is inviting interested members and supporters to the next information-packed Hot Topic Luncheon.

Defending Democracy in the Courts
Barbara Pariente, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Florida, will give a presentation about the current issues in Florida and Federal courts, with a focus on cases that involve voting rights and principles of democracy. She spent 21 years as a Supreme Court Justice where she worked to improve methods for handling cases involving families and children in the courts and is a founding member of the Palm Beach County Association for Women Lawyers.

+ Doors open at 11:00 am. The 3-course, sit-down lunch begins at 11:30 am, the program starts at noon.
