(PRESS RELEASE)_(West Palm Beach, FL – May 3, 2022) The League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County (LWVPBC) today invited local taxpayers, property owners, and concerned citizens to two upcoming Hot Topic Discussions on Zoom: Wednesday, May 18 at Noon Palm Beach County Tax Update Two distinguished local elected officials will discuss how their departments operate and handle property taxes and fees: + Anne Gannon, Constitutional Tax Collector for Palm Beach County, who is currently serving her fourth term in this position. The first woman to hold this office, she has revamped an antiquated bureaucracy into a top-notch customer-focused service agency. + Dorothy Jacks, Property Appraiser for Palm Beach County, who was elected to this position in 2016 after a distinguished 28-year career in the office, where she is focused on producing a fair and equitable tax roll, broadening the efficiency of the office, embracing new and innovative technology, enhancing community outreach and increasing exceptional customer service for all local taxpayers.
