(PRESS RELEASE)_WEST PALM BEACH – Today, day camp is more vital than ever. To deliver on its commitment to nurture the potential in every child, the YMCA of the Palm Beaches’ summer day camp will foster personal achievement, strong relationships, and social belonging. Summer day camp runs Monday, June 3 through Friday, August 2. YMCA campers, ages 2-12, will experience a variety of hands-on educational and fun activities that build teamwork, teach core values, and enhance leadership skills. Kids will have the ability to swim, participate in arts & crafts, go on exciting weekly field trips, make new besties, and more in a safe and supervised environment. Three reasons “Y” kids love summer day camp at the YMCA of the Palm Beaches: Discovering Skills (and achievement!). Campers experience achievement when they try different activities, learn what they like, and discover what they are good at. Building Friendships. Campers have the opportunity to form healthy relationships with other children, caring adults, and role models, which helps them feel good about themselves and learn to get along with others. Finding a Place to Belong. Campers connect through significant camp traditions and rituals that create a sense of belonging, so they feel included, accepted, and part of a community. Apply early! Spots are limited and will fill up quickly.
