I admit it. I am a sucker for nostalgic books and Hollywood movies about traveling the world in style. Nothing takes me to a place in my mind more than the vision of Louis Vuitton trunks being loaded onto carriages, luxury railway compartments or suites on luxury liners. Nothing screams class and Grand Tour more than LV wardrobes packed with beautiful gowns, jewelry, shoes and matching bags. A recent auction of Louis Vuitton trunks and wardrobes saw pieces going for $6,000 to $30,000 each. The days of Victorian wanderlust and huge stacked wardrobes and LV trunks may be long gone but a lady can dream, can’t she?
