Avianca Introduces Its First Airbus A320neo

(Press Release) MIAMI, November 4, 2025. Avianca —part of Abra Group, alongside GOL and the Group’s strategic investment in Wamos Air— announced the arrival of its first Airbus A320neo, part of the 138-aircraft order announced by the Group.

This aircraft reinforces Avianca’s narrow-body fleet, which now totals 135 aircraft and is dedicated to operating short- and medium-haul routes. The airline also operates 16 wide-body aircraft serving long-haul flights and 9 freighters.
With this fleet, Avianca offers one of the most comprehensive and connected networks in the region, serving more than 25 countries and 80 destinations across the Americas and Europe.

The new A320neo will provide Avianca’s customers with renewed travel experience thanks to Airbus’s Airspace Cabin. This design features XL overhead bins that offer up to 60% more space for carry-on luggage compared to current cabins, along with dynamic LED lighting that adjusts to each phase of the flight. In addition, it includes three rows of Premium seats in a two-by-two configuration, exclusively developed by Recaro for Avianca — a unique product in the region.

Beyond comfort, the A320neo delivers a significant reduction in fuel consumption and emissions, combining maximum operational efficiency with a high-quality travel standard.

This first aircraft is part of Abra Group’s robust fleet plan, which includes 138 Airbus A320neo and 96 Boeing 737MAX, as well as five Airbus A350 and up to seven Airbus A330neo, all aimed at strengthening the network of the Group’s airlines.
