Partnering with the Galápagos National Park since 2014, Celebrity Cruises marked a decade of progress on its Scalesia reforestation project. The successful project, now referred to as the "Rewilding Galápagos" initiative, invites guests to help restore the natural habitats of the Galápagos Islands and protect endangered wildlife throughout the region. On each itinerary, Celebrity Flora guests visit the reforestation area with Galapagos Park Rangers and naturalist guides to plant seedlings.

To commemorate the 10-year milestone, representatives and park rangers from the Galápagos National Park, as well as naturalists and guests traveling aboard Celebrity Flora participated in a special Scalesia tree planting event.

The newly renovated Hernán Carrión Nursery, sponsored by Celebrity Cruises, grows all the native plants used for reforestation efforts in the Galápagos. Over the past decade, guests have helped to restore more than 60 acres and support the incredibly biodiverse habitats that are home to iconic plant and animal species.
