ROBOTRON (MSC) (Press Release) Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – June 16, 2025 – Everything’s bigger in Texas—including the thrills. For the first time ever, Texas cruisers will experience ROBOTRON when MSC Cruises begins sailing from Galveston this November. The cutting-edge robotic arm ride is MSC Seascape’s headline attraction, praised for its unique ride experience and unrivaled views. ROBOTRON is the first robotic arm ride at sea, delivering a rollercoaster-like experience with a twist. Suspended nearly 175 feet above the sea, riders flip, spin and soar with wide-open views of the ocean and horizon beyond—all synced to their favorite music. The state-of-the-art robotic arm features a three-seat gondola that moves in all directions, even flipping riders upside down as they hang over the edge of the ship’s deck. Lynn Torrent, President, MSC Cruises North America, said: “ROBOTRON is a thrill ride like no other, and we know it’ll make waves in Texas. On board MSC Seascape, guests will find that ROBOTRON is a one-of-a-kind experience that combines cutting-edge technology with breathtaking ocean views. Texans love big adventures, and MSC Seascape delivers--with high-tech entertainment, immersive attractions and unforgettable Caribbean cruises.” What sets ROBOTRON apart is its customizable experience. Guests can choose their thrill level, from family-friendly to high-intensity, and personalize the ride by choosing their own music, lighting and visual effects. The ride pulses and twists in sync with the beat, creating a multisensory experience unlike anything else at sea. In addition to ROBOTRON, MSC Seascape offers a suite of next-generation entertainment options:
MSC Seascape will begin sailing from Galveston on November 9, departing from a new state-of-the-art terminal currently under construction at the Port of Galveston. MSC Cruises’ mix of European style and American comfort gets a Texas twist aboard MSC Seascape, offering a one-of-a-kind vacation for guests of all ages. The ship will offer 7-night Western Caribbean itineraries departing Galveston every Sunday, visiting Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico, and Isla de Roatan, Honduras.
