1965: Junior Achievement

I joined a Junior Achivement program sponsored by the Star-Telegram
while a junior in high school and had my first byline appear.

1970 

In my first year as a copy editor at the Star-Telegram, I was able to write
​about music for the newspaper's youth supplement, Tempo.

1971 

Throughout 1971, I continued to write for Tempo and did concert reviews. I also had a Page One news story.

1972

In 1972, I expanded into feature writing and book reviews along with music coverage.
