Not too far down PGA is one of Northern Palm Beach County's finest places to dine, Cafe Chardonnay. Open since 1986 by owners Frank and Gigi Eucalitto, it's tucked away in The Garden Square Shoppes at 4533 PGA Blvd. Just follow the twinkling and festive lights. On our recent visit, we started with the heirloom tomato sampler, followed by our favorite item on the dinner menu: Macadamia Crusted Yellowtail Snapper, accompanied by coconut basmati rice, tropical fruit salsa and orange beurre blanc. Oh my -- every bite was better than the one before. The service is efficient, the setting elegant, but relaxed. You'll feel like you're made a quick trip to Europe. Great choice for that special occasion, or if just want to feel special. Bon apetit! --Gerry The first post to a new blog is usually an attempt to explain why the world needs one more blog. The answer in this case is simple: It's for people who call North Palm Beach home, and others who just want to know more about the Florida lifestyle.
The village's motto (North Palm Beach is a village, not a town) is "The best place to live under the sun." And we agree. It has everything, and what it doesn't have is only a few minutes away. Yes, there is that 35 MPH speed limit on US 1, and 25 MPH in the residential areas. But hey, you get used to it. Besides, isn't the whole idea of living by palm trees and blue water to slow down and relax? This will be a place where we'll explore what's to see and do in our little corner of the Sunshine State. You'll meet some interesting people along the way, and learn about new places. Plus we'll mix in some fun as well. We welcome you to join us. Your hosts are Gerry and Pam Barker, and we're glad you stopped by. To contribute, make a comment or send us an email at northpalmlife@gmail.com. See you around! |
