Brightline, Museum Partner for a Journey Back In Time

Have you ever wanted to be a dinosaur hunter, or a fossil detective? Now, thanks to Brightline, the Museum of Discovery and Science in Ft.  Lauderdale and the Joe Dimaggio Children’s Hospital, you can do the next best thing to pitching a tent in the wilds of Montana -- the Brightline Dino Train.

Departing the West Palm Beach and Miami stations on select dates through March, the fare is $35, and includes a roundtrip SMART ticket on Brightline, admission to the museum, a "goodie bag" and hat for the kids, and a lot of fun learning at the same time.

We experienced the Dino Train with our granddaughter, Cate (age 7), and she loved it. Join her and us as we take a trip into the land that time forgot. ...and remembered again.

Cate arrives for Check-In at the West Palm Beach Brightline station.  That's where
you pick up your tickets. Once upstairs, she checks out the Dino Train merchandise.

While waiting for the train, the Dino Handlers showed up with their dino "babies" -- animatronic dinosaurs that
 Cate found almost too real!
Picture
But these dino babies are friendly,
and invite a little cuddling and petting.
We'll be seeing more of them on the train.

It wasn't long before Cate
and the Dino Babies
were the best of friends.

On the train, young explorers got to handle and
 learn about fossils.

Kids could team up and try to match words that describe dinosaurs and their traits.

The Dino Babies made another appearance .,..

Much to Cate's delight!

When we arrived at the Ft. Lauderdale station, the Museum of Discovery and Science was just a short 5-7-minute walk.

THE EXHIBIT

There was so much to do at the museum, and Cate wanted to do it all. The "Expedition Dinosaur" exhibit was amazing, with lots of hands-on opportunities to interact and learn about the world of the paleontologist.
Picture
Cate brushes away the dirt to find the bones.
Listen to and watch these life-like velociraptors.
Picture
We had time to explore the other exhibits ...like the Mars Rover --
a trip to the Red Planet.
Picture
Cate gets to experience what
it's like to fly an airplane.
 Buckle your seat belts!

Who doesn't appreciate the beauty of an aquarium? The museum has something to delight everyone.

All too soon it was time to get back to the train and return to the West Palm Beach station ...

Leaving Cate with some lasting memories!
