Utah, Rockies Highlight Second Day on the Rails
By GERRY and PAMELA BARKER
North Palm Beach Life Published April, 2020 By breakfast on Day Two, we were passing Green River, Utah. During the night we entered Utah, passing through Salt Lake City and Provo. Ahead of us is Colorado and the Rocky Mountains, where we'll spent most of the day, arriving in Denver around nightfall. We'll end our trip at Chicago's Union Station in the afternoon of Day Three. But there's plenty of this beautiful country to see before we arrive. Join us in the Observation Car, won't you? |

Next stop, Frasier-Winter Park ...
It wasn't long before we saw ...
Jaw-dropping vistas on both sides of the tracks ...
By late evening, we are approaching Denver. We'll transverse Nebraska overnight on our way to Iowa, and ultimately, Chicago.
POST SCRIPT: We got off the train at Chicago's Union Station and headed for our hotel, the historic Palmer House downtown. That night we'll meet good friends and see what this great city has to offer. Tomorrow, we'll board Amtrak's Capitol Limited and head for Washington, DC. Stay tuned!
