They say all good things come to an end, and our road trip was no exception, After 18 days and 6,000 or so miles, we crossed the Florida state line as we headed home to North Palm Beach.
Looking back, it was one of those trips we can't stop talking about. The places we saw, the things we did, friends we visited -- both old and new, altogether made it an unforgettable time. And isn't that what life is all about? As the inimitable Rosalind Russell said in "Auntie Mame": "Life is a banquet, and most poor suckers are starving to death." One thing for sure -- this trip was indeed a banquet of new experiences -- an 18-course meal as it were. And guess what? After all those miles and all those hours in the confines of our car, we are still friends. And ready for the next big adventure! |
