Just off I40 en route to Flagstaff is The Petrified Forest National Park. Our focus this time was on the Painted Desert portion of the park. It's Nature at her amazing best.

The Painted Desert Inn has a long and colorful (of course!) history,
dating from 1920. Once a stop on Route 66, it preserves its
