Today's "Lighter Note" is a favorite clip from the "Andy Griffith Show," featuring Barney Fife's attempt to recite the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution. It's a classic. Enjoy, and don't forget: Wash your hands.

Hilarious. Thanks for sharing. Did you know that originally the show as to have Andy Griffith play his part for the laughs but when Don Knott’s came on board, I believe the second episode, the writers decided Andy should play the straight actor part and Don Knott’s character Barney would play for the laughs. A good decision. I laughed plenty as a child watching the show and every adult my age knows how to whistle the theme song of this show. Thanks again Gerry. Keep them coming. Comments are closed.
