(PRESS RELEASE)_Hamburg / Los Angeles, June 26, 2019 – Hamburg’s love for anything cruise and maritime events will culminate in the 7TH HAMBURG CRUISE DAYS, September 13-15, 2019, when the city’s port will set the stage for both the cruise industry and cruise fans. With a record number of twelve participating cruise liners, the Hamburg Cruise Days are the biggest public cruise festival in the world. On shore and off, spectators can partake in a diverse program that includes a parade of cruise liners, fireworks, harbor illuminations, culinary experiences, special promotions, ship presentations, music, and harbor cruises.

The Ships
The ships are at the center of the Hamburg Cruise Days. Final line-up includes a record twelve cruise liners: the AIDAperla, AIDAsol, AIDAvita (AIDA Cruises), Amadea (Phoenix Reisen), Costa Mediterranea (Costa Cruises), EUROPA and EUROPA 2 (Hapag-Lloyd Cruises), Mein Schiff 4 (TUI Cruises), MSC Preziosa (MSC Cruises), World Explorer (nicko cruises) and the river cruisers Frederic Chopin (nicko cruises) and Sans Souci (Plantours).

Highlight – The Cruise Ship Parade
For the Grand Hamburg Cruise Days Parade five cruise liners will sail down the Elbe river, accompanied by escort boats and a lavish firework display. The parade will be led by AIDAperla, followed by EUROPA, MSC Preziosa, Mein Schiff 4 and World Explorer (this order may change).

Day and Night Event
During the Hamburg Cruise Days 2019, the city’s waterfront is being transformed into themed areas that bring the pleasure of cruise travel onto dry land – with maritime markets, cultural highlights, live music and dance, culinary specialties, recreation and sports, as well as fun and games for all. The Hamburg Cruise Days 2019 are the perfect opportunity to experience the fascinating world of cruise liners.

Hamburg Cruise Business Booming
Hamburg is expecting continued positive developments for the 2019 cruise season: After 2018’s record numbers of 220 port calls and 915,000 passengers, the city has upwardly adjusted its goals for the current year. Between 2015 and 2018, Hamburg’s cruise business has grown by about 76 percent.

All in all, 7 American Cruise Lines are calling port in Hamburg in 2019: Holland America Line with 1 ship (2 calls), Princess Cruises with 2 ships (2 calls), Oceania Cruises with 1 ship (2 calls), Norwegian Cruise Line with 1 ship (7 calls), Silversea Cruise with two ships (2 calls incl. Cruise Days), Azamara Club Cruises with 1 ship (1 call), Royal Caribbean International with 1 ship (1 call) and Cunard Line (British with many American guests) with 2 ships (7 calls, including Cruise Days).

In 2018, a total of 23,120 American cruise passengers started, disembarked or transferred through Hamburg.

The Hamburg Cruise Days are preceded by Seatrade Europe. For business insiders, the organizers of the Hamburg Cruise Days will this year also introduce the Business Deck (Sep 13), a new expert workshop format to foster industry dialogue.

'Cunard Story' to Debut in Long Beach

Related: The History of Cunard

(PRESS RELEASE)_
VALENCIA, Calif., June 26, 2019 – In partnership with luxury cruise line, Cunard, the iconic RMS Queen Mary will unveil her new, permanent exhibition, ‘The Cunard Story,’ on July 5 in Long Beach, CA. The exhibition will showcase Cunard’s remarkable 179-year history, its relationship with The Queen Mary, its founder’s vision, the ships it inspired and continues to bring forward, and their influence on immigration, global maritime policies and technological innovation. ‘The Cunard Story’ will showcase the company’s legacy through artifacts, photographs and film, and will also feature an ‘immigration salon’ that allows visitors to digitally explore ancestry databases. Through the offerings, visitors can experience ancestor arrival dates and specific ships that carried them, allowing for a deeply personal experience.

The Queen Mary alone transported thousands of passengers during her Cunard service; and approximately one in five immigrants sailed to the U.S. on a Cunard ship at the height of the immigration period during the latter part of the 19th century and early 10th century.

The list of companies having enjoyed a century of success is short. Cunard, the revered maritime icon began its voyage to success 179 years ago in Halifax, Canada. For nearly two hundred years the company has forged a reputation for sea-going leadership, competence, vision and service to the world-at-large. Cunard ships have been legends in their own time; the best in their class - holding records of achievement for speed, comfort, engineering breakthroughs and more. Lusitania was a Cunarder. But, perhaps the line's most recognized ship was the original RMS Queen Mary. Indeed, the Queen Mary still reigns supreme; she is the only ship of her class and prominence to have survived eight decades on the public stage. Like the company responsible for her advanced technologies, uncompromising grace and head-turning style, the Queen Mary epitomizes Cunard's legacy of excellence.

“This partnership between Cunard and the Queen Mary has allowed two icons of maritime pioneering to curate an immersive experience that illustrates their remarkable history, offering guests a deeper understanding of the impactful setting and creation of the Queen Mary within the Cunard legacy” said Chris Wilmoth, Director of Marketing, The Queen Mary.

Such are the histories of Cunard and Queen Mary - together they influenced culture, economies, strategic alliances, gave hope and security to the oppressed and set the ultimate standards for elegance, romance and the allure of ocean voyaging at its zenith. Their partnership is thoughtfully presented as the Queen Mary dedicates the 'Cunard Story' - the dramatic story of a great company and its remarkable ships.

“I encourage people to come visit the Queen Mary in Long Beach to experience the ‘Cunard Story,’ said Josh Leibowitz, Senior Vice President, Cunard, North America. “The exhibit beautifully presents Cunard in its historical sense and does equal justice to our modern luxury fleet and today’s Cunard experience. We are proud of our legacy, and thrilled to have partnered with The Queen Mary to bring this exhibition to life,” Leibowitz added.

Soon celebrating her 85th Jubilee Year the Queen Mary represents all that Cunard stands for. Retired from service in the 1960s, the ship remains known world-wide and attracts over 1.5 million visitors each year.

Prime 7 Restaurant (Regent Seven Seas)
(PRESS RELEASE)_MIAMI (Jun. 21, 2019) – Regent Seven Seas Cruises®, the leading luxury ocean cruise line, this week celebrates the inaugural voyage of Seven Seas Navigator® following her two-week refurbishment in Brest, France. The first guests to experience her stunning improvements are currently sailing aboard an 11-night London to Dublin voyage. Notable enhancements to the intimate, 490-guest, all-suite ship include:

Restaurants
Guest favorite, Prime 7, a Contemporary American steakhouse, is completely reimagined with dramatic
new appeal. Dark imperial blue walls accented with gold, light leather chairs and rich wood finishes provide a refined and elegant backdrop for prime steaks and seafood. Large artwork, marble sculptures and intricately patterned floors were added to enhance the décor.

Public Areas
The welcoming Navigator Lounge was refreshed with new furnishings enabling more space for guests to sit and enjoy coffee during the day and cocktails around the piano in the afternoon and evenings.

Navigator Lounge
Stars Lounge was completely reimagined with new carpet, new furniture and new wall coverings in light
dusty rose and champagne tones highlighted with gold. Marble tables glimmer under evening dance floor
lights where guests can enjoy cocktails and dancing before dinner or after the evening performance in the
Constellation Theater.

Stars Lounge
Seven Seas Navigator was upgraded with new carpeting, modern wall coverings and sleek metal for a
distinctive contemporary design on the staircases and in the Atrium to welcome guests with a light, airy and modern feel. New Italian marble floors were installed on elevators, and carpeting and wall coverings were installed in all guest hallways. New artwork is featured in guest corridors.

Spa
The spa is now a relaxing haven of tranquility. The entrance features pebble-stone tiles that lead to an
inviting light wood spa desk where attentive staff will assist guests with the treatments of their choice.
Treatment rooms have been updated to provide soothing environments for a variety of services. The
relaxation area has been updated with light tones, making it a perfect retreat before or after a spa visit. The beauty salon has been enlarged, now featuring a dedicated pedicure and manicure area that has floor-toceiling ocean views. Stations for hair treatments and make-up round out the array of services available in the top deck spa.

Guest Suites
Suite entrances are warm and inviting with dark wood doors and new signage. The in-suite closets now
feature more chests and drawers for additional storage space to benefit guests sailing on extended voyages.

New plush carpeting was added to all suites as well as fresh upholstery and the private balconies boast
refinished teak wood for a refined cruising experience.

Additional enhancements guests may not notice include a new infrared barbeque grill at the Pool Grill that
extracts and wisps away smoke, making for a more comfortable outdoor guest dining experience. New air
conditioning and water pipes were installed throughout the entire vessel.

Seven Seas Navigator’s refurbishment is her first since 2016, and with this latest drydock, she has been
completely refurbished from bow-to-stern over the past three years. Since 2016, Regent Seven Seas Cruises has invested more than $150 million refurbishing and modernizing its best-in-class fleet, so its four ships remain the leader in luxury cruising and offer guests an unrivaled experience.

“When guests step on board Seven Seas Navigator, they will find she continues to reflect Regent’s elegant
style and famous attention to detail that fashionably honors her heritage as a beloved, intimate luxury ship,” said Jason Montague, Regent Seven Seas Cruises president and chief executive officer. “Seven Seas Navigator now reflects the consistent look and feel of our fleet, but with special touches that make her distinctly unique.”
