(BPCL NEWS)_Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line dedicated the Grand Celebration’s Helm to Private First-Class Gregory Carter last week. Gregory Carter was a U.S. Marine killed in action during Vietnam whose body was recently uncovered after being buried in an unmarked grave in 1969. Pfc. Carter was drafted at age 19 as a graduating student attending Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale. Vietnam Veterans of America discovered Pfc. Carter’s unmarked grave earlier this year at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fort Lauderdale. The event included a luncheon, ship tour, and commemorative plaque presentation to the family of Pfc. Carter. Approximately 50 people — including six local commissioners, the mayor of Riviera Beach, a NASA astronaut and high-ranking officers of the armed forces attended the event last week.
