(PRESS RELEASE)_Miami, FL (March 2023) – Star Clippers is now taking bookings for all sailings through March 2025 aboard their three tall sailing ships. Sailing destinations newly opened for booking include the 2024 westbound Atlantic crossings, Panama Canal transits and the entire winter seasons in the Caribbean and Central America. All sailing itineraries are detailed on the Star Clippers website, and can be booked by calling Star Clippers at 800-442-0551 or through a travel agent. Back by popular demand, Star Clipper will commence her second full season sailing out of Costa Rica in December 2024, with itineraries that call on Panama and Nicaragua. Royal Clipper returns to her homeport in Bridgetown, Barbados, where she will sail the Windward and Grenadine Islands, and Star Flyer will resume Leeward and Treasure Island sailings out of St. Maarten. There’s nothing quite like crossing the ocean on a cruise ship—and Star Clippers offers an unparalleled ocean crossing experience onboard a true sailing ship. The 2024 westbound Atlantic crossings—some of the lines most sought-after itineraries—are now open for booking on all three ships: Royal Clipper will depart Lisbon for the 16-day journey to Bridgetown on October 17, 2024; Star Flyer will depart Las Palmas on her 15-day sailing to St. Maarten on November 15, 2024; and Star Clipper will sail from Las Palmas on November 29 on a 15-day trip that takes guests to Bridgetown before she makes her way to Costa Rica.
Travelers wishing to check two items off their bucket list can traverse the Panama Canal on one of three sailings aboard a state-of-the-art clipper ship reminiscent of some of the first vessels to sail through the famed canal. Royal Clipper is offering two back-to-back Panama Canal transits on November 2 and 16, 2024, and Star Clipper will transit the famed canal on a Christmas sailing departing Barbados on December 14, 2024. For more than 25 years, Star Clippers has been introducing travelers to the thrill of modern tall-ship sailing to remote ports in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and Central America. The company operates three of the world’s largest and tallest sailing vessels: Star Clipper and Star Flyer are traditional clipper ships with modern amenities carrying 166 guests each, while the 227-guest Royal Clipper holds the Guinness World Record as the largest and only five-masted, fully-rigged sailing ship in service today. All three ships have expansive teak decks, swimming pools informal dining, convivial tropical bars on deck, and piano lounges.
