Corvina Debuts New Sunday Brunch Menu

(PRESS RELEASE)_BOCA RATON, FL June 30, 2022 – Corvina Seafood Grill will offer brunch each Sunday, complete with bottomless Mimosas and a Bloody Mary Bar, starting Sunday, July 10. Hours for the weekly Sunday brunch are 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
 
The brunch menu includes Tito’s Bloody Mary’s Oyster “Shooters” with Old Bay Spiced Rum ($10). Dishes on the menu include pain perdue, New Orleans style French toast made with Cuban bread, bananas foster sauce and toasted pecans ($13); seafood crepe gratin with shrimp and crab and a royal glacage ($16); Shrimp and Grits with Key West pinks, creamy cheese grits, Tasso ham and sherry creole sauce ($16); smoked trout and tomato hash with sunny side up eggs ($19); and eggs Chesapeake with crab cakes, poached eggs and Old Bay hollandaise ($23).
 
Also on the menu are Greek yogurt and house-made granola parfait with a seasonal fruit compote ($9); huevos rancheros with black beans, crisp corn tortilla over medium eggs with avocado, salsa, Latin crema and XXX sauce ($19); shakshouka with eggs, tomatoes, peppers, feta cheese and grilled local sourdough ($18); Eggs Bar Harbor with butter poached lobster ($28); classic eggs benedict with thick cut Canadian bacon ($19) and “Your Omelet” with a choice of four of the following: goat cheese, cheddar and jack, feta cheese, spinach, portabella mushrooms, sundried tomato, roasted sweet peppers or caramelized onions ($21).
 
The dinner menu, which includes sushi, ceviche, a variety of fish, lobster, oysters and shrimp, as well as chicken and steak, will also be available.
 
A Bloody Mary bar will be available for $12-$18, depending on the choice of liquor. Guests can order their choice of vodka and there will be a station that guests can choose from with Clamato, tomato juice, Corvina Bloody Mary Mix, Crystal Hot Sauce, Siracha, olives, limes, lemons, celery, pickled carrots, banana peppers, pickled jalapeno, pickled okra, pickled green beans, gherkins, horseradish and Old Bay Seasoning. A special brunch cocktail menu and full bar are also available, along with bottomless mimosas ($21).

Mounts Garden Hosting Summer Camp

(PRESS RELEASE)_(West Palm Beach, FL – June 27, 2022) Friends of the Mounts Botanical Garden will be hosting two week-long programs next month for nature curious youngsters ages 7 to 11. Garden Explorers Summer Camp offers science-based fun and nature experiences, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 3 pm, July 11-15 and July 25-29.
 
As part of the Season of Awe, Wonder and Reconnection at Mounts, each camp session will be limited to 20 participants and will offer both inside and outside activities, including:
·      Become a junior wetlands water quality specialist by learning how to catch and identify macroinvertebrates in Mounts’ beautiful Lake Orth.
·      Become a budding soil scientist by getting a close-up, dirty-hands look at the properties of mud.
·      Become a blooming horticulturist by discovering the wicked, dangerous, sticky, deceptive and downright incredible adaptations plants have developed to help them survive.
·      Become a botanist-to-be by attending a dissection lab for an inside look at the fascinating structures of seeds and flowers.
·      Become an aspiring agriculturalist by touring the edible gardens at Mounts and learn how to grow and nurture tasty fruits and vegetables.
 
The cost to attend each week-long session is $250 for Mounts members, $290 for nonmembers. (Note: an extra $50 per camper will cover extended care, 8 to 9 am, and 3 to 4 pm.)
 
For each session of the Garden Explorers Summer Camp, young participants should bring a refillable water bottle, a healthy lunch, a hat, sunscreen, and bug repellant.
 
For each camper, Mounts will provide materials for all activities, snacks, and water for refilling bottles.

Lesser, Managing Partner of West Palm Beach-based Lesser, Lesser, Landy & Smith, PLLC, was sworn in today as the 74th President of The Florida Bar. More than 500 Bar members attended the ceremony, which took place this morning at the Bar’s Annual Convention at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek & Waldorf Astoria. 

Lesser is a longtime leader of the Florida Bar, having served for more than a decade on its Board of Governors. He served as Chair of the Bar’s Legislation Committee for three years; has served on the Executive Committee for four years; has served as the Chair of Strategic Planning and was Chair of the Professional Ethics Committee.
 
“It is an extraordinary privilege to work on behalf of Florida’s lawyers, the Court System and the public we serve,” Lesser said “My top priority is to support and protect the independent judiciary and legal profession. We are making a big push to increase great access to legal services, which is a national issue, and launching a statewide mentoring program for younger lawyers, which will be very beneficial for their career paths. These initiatives are already underway and will give newer lawyers practical results to help Florida’s citizens have professional legal counsel for important issues in their lives.”

(PRESS RELEASE)_FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA – Norse Atlantic Airways celebrated the first commercial departure flight from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Oslo (OSL) on June 20th, marking the return of transatlantic service to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. This exciting milestone follows the airline’s inaugural flights between Oslo and JFK New York on June 14th.   The airline flies three times a week from Fort Lauderdale to Oslo, with one-way fares starting from $149. Future destinations under consideration by Norse for FLL include London, Paris and Berlin.
